Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte said that the US Embassy in Manila invited him for a meeting to talk about the disputes in South China Sea.
“Gusto ako kausapin ng American Embassy. eh galit-galit pa kami, kasi lukewarm ako sa kanila.” he said during his campaign sortie in Antipolo City.
“Noon pa lang sana inunahan na ng America at ki-nonfront na niya (ang china). What are you building there? It’s illegal”, he added.
“I told them I would look for (a better schedule) this month,” Duterte told reporters in an ambush interview.
“I am the only one making it public because I want to make my stand about Spratlys clear,” he added that other presidentialcandidates might have been invited as well.
