Vice President Jejomar Binay believes that he and his family will end up dead under a Duterte presidency.
Thus, claimed the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) presidential bet on April 12 following a political rally in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City wherein he branded Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte a “merciless butcher”.
Binay was asked by a reporter if he feared ending up in jail with his family in the even “Digong”–a frontrunner in some surveys–becomes the president.
“Mabuti jail lang ‘yon. Following his speeches, ipapapatay kami ‘non. Kasi pinagbibintangang may ginawang kasalanan. Bintang lang ito,” the Vice President said.
Binay was referring to Duterte’s alleged penchant for killing even suspected criminals sans due process.
However, the UNA leader stressed that he is not afraid of “The Punisher”.
“Siguro magiging mayabang lang ako, hindi ako natatakot kay Duterte. Ba’t ako matatakot? Totoo naman ang sinasabi ko.”
Binay has denied all the allegations of corruption thrown at him. (Samantha A. Giron)
