Kris Aquino Fails Audition as Steve Harvey’s Co-Host for Miss Universe 2016 Pageant in Manila?
Kris Aquino will not be Steve Harvey’s co-host in the Miss Universe 2016 beauty pageant, which will be held on January 30, 2017 at the Mall of Asia Arena, in Pasay City. This is after the Queen of All Media allegedly failed the audition to co-host the most prestigious beauty contest in the world. The said task now has been assigned to another Pinay.
“Definite na si Steve Harvey will be the host. We’re looking for babaeng counterpart niya. Mayroon na kaming napili. Ayaw pa lang sabihin kung sino. (We’ve already chosen for a female counterpart for him. But we will not reveal her name yet.)” Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Wanda Corazon Tulfo-Teo told DZMM radio this Sunday, December 11.
As we all know, Steve Harvey made the wrong announcement of winner during the Miss Universe 2015 held in Las Vegas last December 20. In that event, Harvey mistakenly announced that Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez winning the crown, and Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach as the first runner-up. He immediately corrected his mistake and apologized.
Interestingly, some of the 90 Miss Universe 2016 candidates have already arrived in Manila. This includes Miss Myanmar Htet Htet Htun, Miss Malaysia Kiran Jassal, Miss Japan Sari Nakazawa, Miss Thailand Chalita Suansane, Miss Australia Caris Tiivel, Miss New Zealand Tania Pauline Dawson, Miss Korea Jenny Kim and Miss USA Deshauna Barber.
Meanwhile, one of our Facebook followers sent us a message informing us about Kris Aquino’s plan to be a co-host for the Miss Universe 2016. According to her, the former presidential sister did not pass the audition recently conducted by the Miss Universe Organization. However, we have no means of confirming as to whether this is true of not.
Nevertheless, we are very sure that President Rodrigo Duterte will have a very special participation in the 65th Miss Universe pageant. This was confirmed by Tourism Undersecretary Kat de Castro last Friday, adding that the president will have a “pakulo” with Steve Harvey. He will also meet all the candidates, including Miss Philippines Maxine Medina. [source]
